Terms & Conditions

By registering your child for MOVE programs, you agree to the following terms:

1. REGISTRATION & PAYMENT

Payment is required at time of registration. We accept credit card, direct debit, or bank transfer. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to remove your child from the program.

If you're experiencing financial difficulty, please contact us to discuss payment options before the term starts.

2. REFUND POLICY

We offer a "No Questions Asked" refund policy.

If you decide to withdraw your child at any time during the term, refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis. You pay only for sessions attended, and we refund the difference.

Refunds are processed within 5 business days of your request and returned to your original payment method.

Contact us at hello@mov-e.co.nz to request a refund.

3. ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT

Regular attendance is expected for skill development and team consistency. Please notify us if your child will miss a session so we can arrange makeup sessions when possible.

Frequent unexcused absences may result in removal from the program to make space for committed participants.

4. HEALTH & SAFETY

Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or physical limitations that may affect your child's participation.

Children who are unwell (fever, contagious illness) should not attend sessions.

I authorize MOVE coaches and staff to obtain urgent medical treatment for my child if necessary. I understand every effort will be made to contact me or authorised emergency contacts.

5. RISK ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I acknowledge that participation in basketball activities carries inherent risks, including physical injury. I understand that MOVE takes reasonable care to provide a safe environment through qualified coaches, appropriate supervision, and well-maintained facilities.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights I may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable law.

6. CODE OF CONDUCT

Participants and parents are expected to:

  • Treat coaches, other participants, and facilities with respect

  • Follow safety instructions and program rules

  • Communicate concerns directly with coaches or management

MOVE reserves the right to remove participants who engage in bullying, discrimination, unsafe behavior, or violation of program rules. No refund will be provided in cases of removal for code of conduct violations.

7. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

MOVE is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. Please label all belongings with your child's name.

8. PRIVACY

Personal information collected during registration will be used only for program administration and communication. We comply with the Privacy Act 2020.

You can request access to or correction of your information by emailing hello@mov-e.co.nz.

9. PROGRAM CHANGES

MOVE reserves the right to modify session times, venues, coaches, or program content with reasonable notice.

In the event of cancellations due to weather, facility closure, public health requirements, or circumstances beyond our control, we will offer makeup sessions where possible or pro-rata refunds for cancelled sessions.

10. OUTSTANDING PAYMENTS

Outstanding balances may be referred to a collection agency. You may be responsible for reasonable collection costs in addition to the outstanding balance.

11. PROGRAM TERMINATION

MOVE reserves the right to terminate participation if:

  • Payment obligations are not met

  • Code of conduct is violated

  • The program is not meeting the child's needs (discussed with parent first)

  • A participant's behavior poses safety risks to themselves or others
