Why Strathmore Ballers
Nina and Hemi started the club in 2016 on an outdoor court with a few local kids. Now we have teams in every grade from kids to adults.
We don’t run team trainings because families have a lot on and can’t make every session. Training only works if everyone turns up. So we just focus on playing every week with coaching on the day.
No matter what level your child’s at, we’ll find them a team.
Our senior players coach all our teams. They know what it's like to be the new kid still learning the game.
We need your help
We need your help
We ask parents and players to help with score bench duty and small jobs for the club. Our big fundraiser is running the corporate boxes at Wellington Saints home games. We need everyone’s support, so the same people don’t end up doing all the work.
We play in Wellington Basketball leagues at the Ākau Tangi Sports Centre.
