Kia ora,
I'm Troy.

Basketball's been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

It started with pickup games at Newtown Park Stadium with my friends—figuring things out one play at a time. No coaches, no drills—just hooping. That's where I learned how much basketball teaches you about life. How to believe in yourself, work with others, have fun, and show up when it counts.

That love for the game took me further than I ever imagined. I played over 300 NBL games, suited up for the Tall Blacks, and eventually stepped into coaching. But even at the highest level, one thing never changed. The best players weren't just the most athletic. They were the smartest—the ones who could read the game, adapt, and make the right play under pressure.

That's what we teach at MOVE. No wasted reps. Just smart training that works.

Whether a player is just starting out or preparing for higher levels, every session helps them think fast, react faster, and play with confidence.

I coach the way I want someone to coach my own kids—with patience, energy, and care. We challenge, we adapt, and we make every session count. Players step off the court sharper, more confident, and ready for whatever comes next.

If that sounds like the kind of training you want for your child, let's get to work.
