Kia ora, I'm Troy.

Troy McLean, head coach of MOVE, smiling and connecting with the viewer

I’m a coach, former Tall Black, and proud dad.

I grew up with a ball under my arm. Most days you'd find me at the old Newtown Basketball Stadium with my mates. No drills, no coaches, just hooping. That's where I fell in love with the game.

I've played more than 300 NBL games. I've worn the Tall Blacks singlet and coached at every level.

These days, I'm here to help kids build skills that translate on the court. At MOVE, we teach players to read the game, react fast, and play with confidence.

Every session has a purpose. So when they hit the court, they're ready to play. We step it up when it's needed, adjust on the spot, and make every rep count.

I coach the way I'd want someone to coach my own kids, with patience and the right challenge when they're ready.

If that sounds like the training you want for your child, let's get to work.
